Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice

Public Notice is hereby given that the Cumberland County Housing & Redevelopment Authorities (CCHRA) will hold two public meetings to present the draft Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI) for Cumberland County and the Borough of Carlisle and is inviting public comment on the draft document.

The process of preparing the AI is part of the fair housing planning required of communities that receive certain funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The AI is intended to identify specific barriers to fair housing and propose recommendations for addressing those barriers.

The two public meetings will be held at the dates, times and locations as follows:

·Wednesday, October 2, 2019, 6:05 PM, Borough of Carlisle Council Chambers, 53 W. South Street, Carlisle, PA 17013

·Thursday, October 3, 2019, 9:00 AM, Cumberland County Commissioners’ Hearing Room, 1 Courthouse Square, Carlisle, PA 17013

Residents of Cumberland County and Carlisle Borough are invited to comment on the draft AI from September 1 through September 30, 2019. A copy of the draft AI will be available for public inspection beginning 8:30 AM on September 1, 2019 through 4:00 PM, September 30, 2019, at the following locations:
