Call for Donations

The administration of the Redevelopment Authority of Cumberland County has recently moved to begin a number of new projects, including the renovation of the Community Room at Two West Penn.

Two West Penn is a residential apartment complex located in downtown Carlisle. It houses individuals ages 50 and up and/or individuals who are mobility-impaired. Tenants pay 30% of their monthly adjusted income in rent and utilities. There are 50 units in the complex, with indoor activities planned for all on a regular basis. As such, a safe, sanitary, and enriching Community Room is vital to the everyday lives of these citizens.

Items to be replaced, renovated, or repaired include: paint, décor, storage options, lighting/ceiling fans, and furniture (sofas, reclining/rocking chairs, folding chairs, activity tables). We estimate the total cost of this renovation to be $5,000.

Our residents deserve a space to be able to express their creativity, sustain socialization, and gather for fun. That is why we have faith that we will be able to reach our goal with your help. Through your donation, our residents can lead much more fulfilling lives.

To show our appreciation for their support, donors will be honored through a painted wall mural including their names and invited to a ribbon cutting once the Community Room is complete.

To simplify the donation process, we have decided to install a tier-based system:

Tier 1 - Supporter

Tier 2 - Advocate

Tier 3 - Friend

We hope you will support not only us, but also our residents in this endeavor. Please reach out to Mikayla Kitchen, Community Engagement Specialist, for questions.
