CDBG PROGRAM

Borough of Carlisle

The Borough Council of Carlisle Borough will hold a Public Hearing to take comments on the proposed use of funds for the Borough’s PY 2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. This is the second public hearing regarding the Borough’s CDBG Annual Action Plan. The first public hearing was held on June 14, 2022.

For PY 2022, the US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) awarded Carlisle Borough $358,323.00 in CDBG funds. No program income is anticipated in PY 2022. The total funds available for PY 2022 is $358,323. The Public Hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Borough Hall, 53 W. South St., Carlisle PA, 17013.

The proposed activities will benefit primarily low- and moderate-income persons. The public will have until August 11, 2022 to comment on the proposed use of funds. .

The Plan and Proposed Use of Funds will be available for review at the following locations: Cumberland County Redevelopment Authority, 114 N. Hanover Street, Carlisle, Pa and Carlisle Borough Hall. The public may comment on the Plan and proposed use of funds at the hearing, in writing, or by telephone. The Redevelopment Authority will accept written comments addressed to 114 N.
