Shepherd’s Crossing

Shepherd’s Crossing is a community of 35 newly constructed residences located at 251 Lamb’s Gap Road in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania in the Cumberland Valley School District. The community will consist of 5 one-bedroom and 6 two-bedroom apartments, as well as, 24 three-bedroom townhomes. The community offers 2 two-bedroom and 2 one-bedroom apartments which are specially equipped to enhance mobility and will also be subsidized through the Section 8 Project Based Voucher program.

A community room with a kitchenette is on site and may serve for resident meetings and educational presentations; or residents may wish to reserve the room for special functions at no charge. The community provides an on-site management office staffed with a part-time Property Manager and Supportive Services Coordinator.

Shepherd’s Crossing is an energy-efficient community which includes a variety of amenities, such as a geothermal heating and air conditioning system, Energy Star refrigerators, washers, dryers and dishwashers. Covered front and rear porches, as well as individual storage areas, adds to the appeal of Shepherd’s Crossing. Shepherd’s Crossing is an entirely smoke-free community and is pet friendly (guidelines apply).

Program regulations require that an applicant’s income not exceed specific income guidelines (please see enclosed brochure for current limits). In addition, applicants will need to meet the minimum income eligibility requirement. Residents are responsible for their electric, including heat and A/C. Water, sewer and trash are included in the rent. We do accept the Housing Choice Voucher administered through the Section 8 Rental Assistance Office of the Housing Authority of Cumberland County. Shepherd’s Crossing does not discriminate against eligible persons on the basis of age, sex, race, creed, color, religion, natural origin, handicap or familial status.
