This week, HUD announced 2026 CPD program allocations across the nation. Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, has been allocated $1,246,048 in CDBG funds and $551,846.93 in HOME funds.
The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Cumberland manages Cumberland County’s CDBG and HOME programs. As a reminder, applications for the 2026 CDBG funding cycle closed on March 2, 2026. HOME applications are open on a rolling basis.
Those CDBG applications that were submitted will be reviewed and scored according to the criteria listed on the Cumberland County CDBG webpage and funded in such a way as to meet the newly announced allocations.
Denied applicants will be offered one-on-one feedback sessions with Community Development staff. Approved activities will be presented to the County Commissioners for final approval sometime in the Spring/Early Summer.
