RELEASE: CCHRA Announces Second Year of ‘Party on Pitt’

In May of 2023, CCHRA hosted an event akin to a community resource fair with one crucial twist: the event offered interested parties the chance to sit down with housing staff and receive assistance in applying for public housing.

This October, the event returns in a new form, featuring a Trunk-or-Treat activity for those with children in attendance.

Party on Pitt is aimed at the low-income population in the immediate area; senior citizens and families interested in applying, and those who have already applied and wish to update their application, a key requirement if one experiences major financial changes or gains or sheds a barrier to entry.

The event will feature a free hamburger and hotdog lunch, plenty of candy to go around, kids’ crafts and games, a multitude of local service providers, and, of course, festively decorated car trunks manned by Authority staff.
