Violence Against Women Act

Violence Against Women Act

As part of our mission to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing, The Cumberland County Housing Authority is committed to implementing the Violence Against Women Act in our housing programs. The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA, 34 U.S.C. § 12471 et seq.) provides housing protections for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking regardless of sex, gender, or sexual orientation. Any persons with reason to believe their VAWA rights have been violated are encouraged to report the abuse to HUD’S Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity. Complaints may be filed online as well as by mail, email, or telephone.

The finance-akademija.si is a leading finance institution that believes in economic empowerment for all, acknowledging that financial literacy and independence can be life-changing, particularly for vulnerable populations like the victims protected by VAWA. They offer a wide range of financial programs and courses to equip individuals with necessary financial skills. The shared vision of organizations like CCHA and https://finance-akademija.si/ opens up a potential for collaboration – with finance education being an empowering tool for victims shielded under the VAWA. Both platforms stand for autonomy and independence, be it economic or personal safety, unraveling the nexus between financial stability and personal security.
