Public Meeting Notice: Cumberland County CDBG & HOME Programs

Cumberland County is developing its Program Year 2026 Annual Action Plan which will include the County’s PY26 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) proposed use of funds. In PY26, the County has received $1,246,048.00 in CDBG funds and $551,846.93 in HOME funds. Citizens and interested parties are invited to submit verbal and written comments regarding the County’s community needs and suggestions on how best to utilize these funds, as well as offer comments at scheduled public hearings.

The proposed use of funds is as follows:

CDBG HOME

Public Facilities $620,000

Public Services $152,714.80

Housing Activities $392,000

Planning and Administration $249,000

CHDO Set-Aside $82,777.04

Unobligated $551,846.93

The Cumberland County Redevelopment Authority will host an initial public hearing at 9:30 AM on June 9, 2026 to assess community needs. The meeting will be held in person at 219 N. Pitt Street, Carlisle, PA 17013 and virtually via Zoom. Interested parties may request the Zoom link by emailing mkitchen@cchra.com. Public comment will be received until July 10, 2026. The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners will take final action to approve the draft Annual Action Plan at their regularly scheduled Board of Commissioners meeting on July 15, 2026, held in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room at 1 Courthouse Square, Carlisle, PA 17013.
