A NOTE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Proposed Amendments to the Public Housing Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy, Leases and Lease Addendums, Grievance Procedures, Tenant Handbooks, Standard of of Charges and Flat Rents

 

The Cumberland County Housing Authority (CCHRA) has reviewed and made amendments to its Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP), Resi8dential Lease Agreements and Addendums (Lease), the Grievance Procedures, Tenant Handbooks, Standards of Charges for Tenants and the Flat Rents.  These policies govern the selection of applicants/residents for occupancy of public housing units and developments owned by CCHA.  The changes made to these policies are to ensure compliance with federal regulations and state and local laws, as well as to allow CCHA to adopt or change management practices and policies.

 

Public housing residents, applicants, and the public may submit comments on the Draft Amended ACOP, Leases/Addendums, Grievance Procedures, Tenant Handbooks, Standard of Charges and Flat Rents during the public comment period.  The 30-day comment period begins March 5, 2013 at 8:00 AM and ends on April 5, 2013 at 4:30 PM.  All comments must be received by 4:30 PM on April 5, 2013 and must be in writing.  The proposed documents will be available for review on this website:

You may also review the documents at our Public Housing Office located at 60 West Penn Street, Carlisle, PA.  These documents are also available in an alternative format to persons with disabilities upon request.  Please call 717-245-0516.  Please allow seven working days for preparation of the material.  A Public Hearing will take place on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Cyberspace Office at 219 North Pitt Street in Carlisle.  The purpose of this meeting is to receive public comments and recommendations for the Annual Plan before it is submitted to HUD for review and approval.
